The program organized by KVIM Business School focused on providing participants with practical insights on a number of issues related to entrepreneurial financing, including how much money can and should be raised; when should it be raised and from whom; what is a reasonable valuation of the company; and how funding should be structured. During the course, students raised questions related to the challenges faced in a variety of industry settings and stages of venture development.

Womens day represents an important opportunity for individuals, communities, and countries to celebrate the progress, great achievements, and contributions of women, towards the complete development of the family and nation in many fronts. At KVIM the womens day was celebrated to recognize and honor the college’s female staff and students for their pivotal contributions to the community

As management students, it is important to understand the concept of how the stock market works, how the shares are traded. To bring awareness among students, KVIM organized a session relating to the basics of stock till how the stocks are traded in the market. Students were given a live demo on how to trade and also the knowledge of opening account, buying and selling of shares, brokerage, advantages of investing and also few tips on how to invest wisely.

Guest Lecture on “Opportunities in the Defence Sector” was organized by KVIM to inspire students to take up jobs in defense forces and serve the nation. The emphasis of the lecture was on the responsibility of students towards the defence forces and the qualifications and qualities required to join the armed services as an officer. There were questions from students regarding the openings and life in army, and their doubts were cleared which motivated them to take up a successful defense career.

The guest lecture on the review of union budget 2018 was organized which the vital aspects of a government budget like government spending, planned and unplanned expenditure and difference between fiscal and capital budgeting were discussed vividly. Even the faculties were part of the informative session looking at the sector allocations. It was not a lecture, but an interactive session of understanding different dimensions of budget in management outlook.
 

To address challenges and opportunities in the field of research, a one day workshop on SPSS is conducted for those who want to acquire the skills and knowledge on getting started with SPSS. The workshop enabled the researchers to implement a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques, including linear and nonlinear modeling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification and clustering.

KVIM organized a fresher’s day to give a warm welcome to the new comers and to build their confidence and creativity. It was accompanied with so many colourful events and programs like traditional, fusion, and western dances, exhilarating singing performances, and splendid decoration, thus making it a soulful day for the seniors and juniors.

KVIM organized a lecture on stress management in which the students were exposed to the coping strategies to combat stress. As a part of dealing with stress the three Fs - Faith, Family and Friends, which can become our support system in any crisis-ridden scenario was emphasized among the students. It was quite an interactive session with the students and teachers with a greater focus on a happier and stress-free life by being cheerful and loving ourselves unconditionally.

The installation function of the Rotaract club in KVIM is done with the objective of sharing friendships and networking with the fellow Rotaractors. Students were told about the importance of Rotrary and the services involved in it, from being a volunteer to be a leader of a club, to developing friendships and networking. The highlight of the event was the oath-taking ceremony in which the office bearers and the new members took the oath to serve the Rotaract club of the college.

The Rotaract Club of KVIM organized an Eye Screening Camp for the students. A clinical team of 3 doctors visited the college and examined the students and faculty for eye problems. Counselling was offered to them regarding cataract surgery, eye glasses and medicines. The camp gave an energetic and responsible feel to the students of KVIM.
