Aimed at raising awareness about environmental issues and encouraging sustainable practices, KV Institute of Management and Information Studies recently celebrated World Earth Day with a series of events.
The event began with an informative session focusing on the connection between power generation and pollution, discussing how traditional energy sources like coal and gas contribute to environmental degradation and highlighting renewable alternatives such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.
The event also featured an interactive quiz with various environmental topics, including climate change and sustainability practices.
A short film screening also took place, featuring documentaries that showcased the urgent need to address pollution, climate change, and the importance of conservation efforts. The films inspired participants to reflect on their environmental impact and consider sustainable alternatives in their daily lives. Finally, students took the pledge.
