The Guest Lecture on “retail as career” for MBA students
covered the latest dimensions in retail marketing, prospects and growth of retail marketing and career opportunities.
Students felt that the session was more informative and interactive as the lecture helped students to inhibit marketing thoughts which will enable them to take up their career in retail marketing.
An enriching guest lecture on a paradigm shift from Campus to Corporate was organized to provide insights on effective ways to make the significant switch from college to organisation. In order to understand the importance of bonding with the organisation and internalize its vision, students were introduced to the mantra of “Learn, Follow and Adapt to the system” for sustainable performance in an organisation.
The super specialty HR workshop organized by KVIM aimed to provide an introduction to the world of human resources and HR management. The basics in employee compensation and retention, payroll and deductions were analyzed in detail. Students received a taste of what is required for HR in today's competitive global markets through the workshop.
A free dental camp was organized at KVIM. A team of Senior Specialist Dental Surgeons carried out a comprehensive dental checkup for students and staff. The camp was initiated with a guest lecture which aimed at educating the students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent from them. The students got ample opportunities to interact with the dental surgeons to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases.
An active Center for Institute Industry interface (CI3) has been has been functioning in the College to promote closer interaction between the academic field and the professional field. On behalf of the CI3, students of KVIM successfully managed a mega exhibition organized by BNI Admirals in Suguna Kalyana Mandapam. As a token of appreciation, students were recognized for their unflinching work and certificates were distributed to the students who played an active role in managing the event successfully.
Digital India is a dream created by the Government of India to ensure that services are made available to citizens electronically and take the nation forward digitally and economically Since digitalization of the economy is a latest trend, KVIM organized a national seminar on this topic, in which participants from the academic and corporate field presented research papers which offered various viable solutions for progress in this field.
